Lake Chelan, one of the beautiful spots in the US. The lake is huge, not real wide but long. Wonderful mountain scenery and wildlife. The Lake Chelan State Park campground is full most of the time, so you have to be sure you make a reservation early.
We go to Lake Chelan State Park campground because we like to take a plane or a boat to the end of the lake to Stehekin. There isn’t much there, in fact there are no roads to it. Only 95 people live there. If you do see a car, you will not see a license plate on it.
Quiet lake side lodging is available and a small restaurant. No TV, no phone, just peace and quiet.
There is a sizable waterfall close by. You can even see a couple of glaciers. Great place if you like the wilderness.
If you like golf, there are several golf courses and of course there is fishing all year around.
Enjoy Lake Chelan State Park in Washington State.
