Taking Home-Cooked Meals on the Road

FoodSaver GameSaver Sport Plus

Before my family and I take our annual camping trip to Niagara Falls, I get busy in the kitchen. Although I’m used to making home-cooked meals each night for my wife and sons, this is completely different. For days at a time the house is filled with the most delectable fragrances of food cooking. Unfortunately, most of it is off limits until our camping trip begins.

I put all of the excess foodstuffs in a food saver vacuum sealer, which locks in the fresh flavor of each meal. Once we hit the campsite, it’s just a matter of reheating the food. Of course we still enjoy gorging on traditional camping fare such as hotdogs, hamburgers and marshmallows, but those items will only take you so far. If you’re looking for a variety of flavors and a nutritional advantage, there’s really no other option.
